Biography:
Linda graduated from the Department of Nursing Studies at The University of Edinburgh in 1998, having moved from her intended pathway of English Literature, to pursue a career in oncology nursing. She has dedicated her career to improving care for people living with colorectal cancer in both a clinical and research capacity.

Following a Macmillan Cancer-funded fellowship, Linda developed specialist expertise in colorectal cancer nursing through a range of clinical and research roles. She completed her PhD at The University of Edinburgh in 2020, exploring realistic hope within the colorectal liver resection pathway.

Linda is currently Team Lead for the Colorectal Cancer Specialist Nursing Team at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre. She received the Bowel Cancer UK Gary Logue Award in 2022 and joined the UK Oncology Nursing Society (UKONS) Board as Joint Communications Lead in 2023.

Linda also contributes to academic and professional development through participation in a local Clinical Academic Partnership at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre, clinical supervision for the MSc in Clinical Trials at The University of Edinburgh, and external examining within the School of Nursing at The University of Edinburgh.
