Biography:
Vicky Athey is a Respiratory Consultant based at Rotherham General Hospital. She is lead for Malignancy of Unknown Origin / Cancer of Unknown Primary for both Rotherham and neighbouring trust Barnsley.
Vicky graduated from St George’s Hospital Medical School, London and then trained in South Yorkshire before her Consultant appointment in Rotherham in 2013. During her speciality training she undertook research around raising awareness of lung cancer symptoms and her respiratory practice is in managing those with suspected lung cancer.
Around 7 years ago she took over the local MUO service and has been developing this since, providing inpatient in reach and a 1-stop outpatient clinic.
