Biography:
Amit is a Locum Consultant Medical Oncologist at St Bartholemew’s Hospital, specialising in the treatment of breast cancers. He qualified from Cambridge University and Imperial College School of Medicine before completing specialist Medical Oncology training at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
He received his PhD from the Francis Crick Institute where his developing interests led to his selection to the first cohort of the NHS Fellowship in Clinical AI, evaluating software to automate detection of cancer from Prostate MRI scans.
He then served as Medical Director at Flatiron Health UK where he was involved in developing the use of AI to extract structured data from Electronic Health Records. He recently chose to return to full-time clinical practice and is currently helping implement ePROMs, and AI for tumour boards, into routine clinical workflows.
