Biography:
Dr Jessica Curtis is a Clinical Research Fellow working within the Cancer Vaccine Launch Pad (CVLP) team at the Cancer Research UK Southampton Clinical Trials Unit (SCTU).
After completing degrees in Biomedical Sciences at University of Southampton and Medicine at King’s College London, she started her medical career back in Southampton. She worked as a specialty doctor in Emergency Medicine, before deciding to take a break from clinical medicine to gain some experience in research.
Jessica currently utilises her medical background and knowledge to deliver clinical support and advice to hospital teams participating in the CVLP. She provides medical input to the development of CVLP trial pathways, referral criteria and documentation. She also works closely with NHS England and industry partners to help increase patient recruitment into cancer clinical trials.
