Biography:
Prof. Patrick Forde is Prendergast Chair of Immuno-Oncology at Trinity College Dublin and Professor of Oncology at Johns Hopkins where he led the lung cancer program and thoracic oncology research programs.  He has led the development of neoadjuvant immunotherapy for resectable lung cancer, initially exploring the role of single agent immunotherapy as neoadjuvant therapy and more recently as principal investigator of the CheckMate 816 trial which led to the approval internationally of neoadjuvant chemo-immunotherapy for stage II-III lung cancer. He is currently co-PI for the global platform neoadjuvant trial, NeoCOAST-2, serves as co-chair for the early stage lung cancer group at the European Thoracic Oncology Platform and chairs the early stage lung cancer scientific program committee for ASCO 2026 and the metastatic lung cancer committee for ESMO 2026.
