Biography:
Professor Rowan Pritchard-Jones is the Associate Dean of Medicine at the University of Liverpool and a Consultant Plastic Reconstructive Surgeon at Mersey West Lancs Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. With over a decade of experience as a specialist in skin cancer, he has a clinical and academic interest in the management of malignant melanoma. Professor Pritchard-Jones completed sub-specialty training as a Skin Oncology and Microsurgery Fellow at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, alongside a BAPRAS Travelling Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Johns Hopkins Hospital.
His research portfolio focuses  on melanoma chemo-resistance, specifically investigating mechanisms to overcome BRAF inhibitor resistance, as well as Electro Chemotherapy. Alongside  clinical practice, he is a seasoned healthcare leader, having previously served as the Executive Medical Director for the NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board. At this year’s forum, Rowan will bring experience in surgical oncology to discuss evolving paradigms, patient selection, and multi-modal treatment strategies for locoregional disease in melanoma.
